KIPUG is a users group for users of personal computers in the Bakersfield and Kern County. Please visit our monthly meetings where you can learn the latest tips and tricks to make your PC experience more productive, easier, and more enjoyable.

General meetings are held at the Kern County Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS) City Centre building in downtown Bakersfield. See map for address and directions. Meetings are from 7 p.m.to 9 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month and are open to the public.

Meetings include a business session, presentations by guest speakers from software vendors, member presentations, and general discussion with answers from a panel of club experts.

The January meeting will be at the Indepent Living Center, 1631 30th Street, Bakersfield, California 93301. This meeting will start at the usual time and we will learn about Adaptive Software.

Membership is required to participate in the door prize and Special Interest Groups (S.I.G.s) which currently include geneology, nerd night for novice and experienced computer users alike, graphics, video, a web developer's group hosted by the KIPUG webmaster, plus other groups. A monthly newsletter, Bits & Bytes, written by club members also is sent to members.
